A forum entitled Genocide and Denial: A Perspective on the Jewish and Armenian Cases will be held at Boston University per organization of the Boston University Armenian Students Association on December 5, 2007. The forum panel will consist of Dr. Deborah Dwork, Rose Professor of Holocaust History and Director of the Strassler Family Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University, Dr. Simon Payaslian, Kenosian Chair of Armenian Studies at Boston University, and Dr. Henry Theriault, Associate Professor of Philosophy and coordinator of the Center for the Study of Human Rights at Worcester State College. The topics of discussion will include The Armenian Genocide and the Holocaust, The political economy of genocide denial, and Beyond truth and falsity: the deep trajectories of denial followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
Admission to the event is free. The forum will be held at room 101 of the Kenmore Classroom Building [565 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston]. Parking is available along Commonwealth Avenue or at parking lots in the area. The lecture will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.
